One of my favorite things about massage is that it’s not just about the hour on the table—it’s about how it supports you in your everyday life. What you do between appointments can make your sessions last longer and help you feel even better.
Here are a few simple ways to show your body some love between visits:
Stay hydrated.
Massage helps move fluids through your body, and drinking plenty of water keeps everything flowing and your muscles happy.
Stretch a little each day.
It doesn’t have to be fancy—even a few shoulder rolls or a gentle twist in your chair can help release tension before it builds back up.
Keep moving.
Our bodies are made to move. Short walks, dancing in the kitchen, or a few minutes of yoga all keep circulation going and muscles loose.
Rest when your body asks for it.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down. If your body says “I need a break,” give yourself permission to take it.
Find small moments of calm.
Take a deep breath, step outside for some fresh air, or spend a few minutes doing something you enjoy. These little pauses add up.
